Day11

Day 11 (21st December) 
Mailed the AI column. Looking for a title. Asked twitter, but got no response. I have couple of ideas in mind and will choose one. 
Received a proper consulting request. Well more or less. Responded tersely because I am not desperate.
Meeting with good friend at a bar that serves exotic craft beers. The place was overrun by women in early 40s celebrating silver jubilee of their class reunion. Almost all of them were surprisingly trim.

Day 78

Day 78 (15th October) I had a lot on my plate today but returned home to a non-responsive computer. The frustration mounted as I kept attempting to revive it. Technical Support numbers were non-existent. And I had almost reconciled to replacing a crashed harddisk. But just few minutes before the computer has risen like a Phoenix. It is time to take the warnings seriously and do some proactive maintenance.

Day 34

Day 34 (28th November) The course is done and dusted. Wrapped it up with a quiz and soliciting feedback. The feedback is delightful, way better than I had expected. There are clear suggestions for improvement, in case I wish to repeat it next year. The most important suggestion concerns my voice. I must ask the college to get me a better mike, one that I don't have to hold in my hand. Two courses taught this year. Must focus on the book now.

Day 74

Day 74 (19 th October) I have a lot to write about today, but in no frame of mind to write now after watching visuals of the Amritsar train tragedy. Such mindless tragedies are waiting to happen across the country. We continue to treat human lives with utter callousness. A tragedy on a festive occasion is doubly disturbing.
